Is anyone seeing a speed increase by using the 81mm reduction nozzle, about how much should i expect with my application:

I researched the forum but really couldnt get a real feel as to what gains to expect.

PM Hitman or JD1. I know JD1 was getting some really good speeds with small nozzles on B1 skis, & he can probably give you the best advice on what prop & pitch to use. Just realize that you will sacrifice acceleration for the top speed gain. You might also need to add a better IC to replicate his results. Also, didn't see the manifold upgrade in your list. If you haven't done it, it's a must do to get the most out of your other mods.

whoa!! Be Freaking careful if you plan on running a 81mm ring on an FZ.
Long story short, I ran a 81mm ring, an R&D anti cavitation cone, a stock prop and the stock steering nozzle. The results were a pump stuff at 76ish MPHs. I'm just now getting fully recovered from a neck fractured in two places. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=160981
I'm not saying it can't be done, but make each modification slowly, and test out each change thoroughly before you do the next one.

I just don't want to see anyone getting hurt, so just be careful----Chad

I am identical to you, except I have the JD intercooler. At the end of the year I hit 79 at 8300. I plan on changing my 12/22 to a 15/21. I also have a ton of cavitation down low. I do plan on verifying that the stated pitch is correct before the change.

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Everyone one this forum tries to make all this power and then complains about cavitation. The best investment you can make is in the pump. If you upgrade to a Skat pump you wont have cavitation problems. A limited FZR in race trim(nose down) can run 85mph at 8600rpm and have zero cavitation.

Yes, install the TBM cone. It works wonders in getting rid of cavitation.

Wow thanks again for everyone's input!
best ive done so far is 76.9 on GPS @ 8220 rpm on PET tach and lean readings from 12.5 to 12.9 on inovations AFR gauge. So far my rpm at 8220 is my max

I can tell you, on my RXP, going down to a 81 ring from 83 picked up 1 MPH and lost holeshot. Not sure if its same..

    Jerry

What is the interference issue with the skat props and the TBM cone?

Looks like a 15/21 would help you also.
