    Question R&D anti cavitation Cone

does anyone have instructions for this pump cone,
i am considering this upgrade since i will already be doing the riva pro series reduction nozzle.

Can i install the cone without removing the pump assemble? or do i have to drop the pump

It's easy to install without removing the pump. It's just 3 bolts holding it on.
Let me know something soon and I will add it to your Riva pro nozzle order and ship it together

Does it matter which way you install the cone? On the inside of the r&d cone it says "top", so I installed mine with that part of the cone on top.

The straighter side of the cone should be on top & the more angled side should be on the bottom. Once installed it should follow the 5* angle of the venturi nozzle.

On a boat with a near stock engine it will definately help the holeshot. On a more modified setup it will help some, but is nowhere near a cure. It will also give you a noticeable improvement in rough water hookup & a small top speed gain.

Humm.... I think I may have to add this to my mods. Mainly for the better hookup.

And I have to ask, especially with everything that happened to Chad-- is the increase in pump pressure safe? Last thing I want is to worry about that.

I've run that cone almost since day one and never had an issue with it. It will lower your RPM just a bit. I think it works pretty well with stock and Skat props.
