Is this gap normal on the ride plate?

This is looking under the rear looking forward.

Is that gap normal? Why is it like that?

    Thanks!

It is normal to see a lot of ski like that and have seen a lot like that. It would be better to close the gap between the ride plate and pump shoe and have a small step from the pump shoe to the ride plate.

Is it supposed to be like that though? The previous owner did a prop change so I just wanna make sure he didn't screw something up.
