installing AFR GAUGE IN THE MIRROR

I am going with a dyno tune AFR. I am either going with an MTX- 1 and I would like to put it into the mirror on my RXP. I would like to install this myself. What parts will I need & where do I buy the faceplate for the gauge?

Most guys make their own out of a Marine Grade Plastic. Get a piece and trace the mirror out onto it and cut it out and sand it smooth. Drill the gauge size you need and secure it with either RTV or The Right Stuff. Others could chime in and tell you how they secured it. It's how I did it.

I read you post & have some questions. I looked in the back & there are 2 pop rivets, a spring , & a nut. Do I eliminate all those items & glass? How do I run the 02 sensor wire from there ? Do I go down through the shock hood & back to the j pipe?
Could you call my cell at 717-574-3506? It might be easier to talk me through this process.

There is actually 3 rivets. The spring and nut hold the mirror in ONLY. Unscrew the nut and you are good to go. The mirror will fall out. I would use RTV to seal the plate in or screw them in. You will need to run the wire through the hood and down through the grommet where the harness goes down. It is where the hydraulic fitting is that support the raising of the hood. You will then run your wire(s) to where ever you choose to. Make sense. If not, I will call you tomorrow.

Thanks for your help. I figured it out. I liked what you did on your glovebox lid. Do you loose a lot of space in the glovebox when you do this? i looked on the site & saw J L Lewis is putting them on the glovebox lid.

Same method I used. I bought some carbon fibre for the inserts though.
