    Exclamation DOOOHH!

WOW....so I just got back from a quick baseline run, and BOY was I impressed.!!!!

two bars fuel(started with 3, but it went back and forth a couple times)
    180lb rider
    superman
    73 water temp
    77 air
    Water cond.....rippley, but smooth

    First run-71.0!!!!
    second- 70.3
    third- 70.6
    fourth- 70.3
    fifth- 70.8!!!!!!

I am totally shocked!!! The real kicker..........all of these at 7900 RPM!!

    Now the DOOH!!

Maybe 10-15 minutes in the water. Get back to the ramp(closer than the usual beach launch), pull the plugs and water gushes out of the bilge!!!!

I think, "ok, it didn't do this sunday, so maybe I just didn't tighten the plugs. Put them back in and put her back in the water, filled again, but only while running.....damn!

Got her home, pull the cowling, check all the obvious, like the bailer zip ties (yeah, i know, i need to get clamps), nothing obvious. Put the plugs in and fill the hull with water. NO LEAKS!! Hook it up to the hose and VIOLA!! water rushing in. I trace the culprit to the hose from the pump to the intercooler. It got burnt by the exhaust manifold!!!! Fwweeww, that is sooooo relieving it's just a hose!!!! I HOPE.

Anyhow, Jerry's 15/20 should be here any minute now and I've got the power pipe, wedge, 4inch custom, and R&D intake grate to install tonight and tomorrow.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THIS BEAST DOES! if these numbers are "stock".

    Sean

    OPAS removed?
    what was your trim setting?

I predict 72.3 IF your last reading was with the VTS at one click above middle...

to be honest I was so excited I forgot to even mess w/ VTS...had to go check just now to see what it was set at.

The OPAS coming off will help speed, so add 1mph...I predict a SOLID 73.0 or more...
