Stress cracks on vxr valve cover

So I went to do my 10 hours maintenance..oil, filter , etc. when changing the spark plugs I noticed several cracks on the valve cover specially around the plug areas. Has anybody seen this.

Can you take some pictures please?

By the way, the spark plugs don't need to be changed at 10 hours.

I doubt they are stress cracks... probably casting marks.

As does my FZS - both the original and replacement VC. Think they're just cooling cracks from casting and only superficial.

For whatever its worth, I've never noticed is on my FZ, just the HO. But still, I think you are right in that they are superficial.
