Phoenix Patriot Foundation Presents Purple Heart Patriots Challenge

San Diego, CA – Phoenix Patriot Foundation (PPF) in association with K38 Water Safety is proud to announce the Purple Heart Patriots' Challenge. Military personnel who have received a Purple Heart in Iraq or Afghanistan are riding riding Kawasaki JET SKIŽ watercraft in a grueling trek through dynamic, unforgiving ocean conditions. The SoCal Watercraft Club is volunteering with logistical support at all four PPF stops. The club is an American Watercraft Club with over 100 members who enjoy fellowship throughout the state of California on Club gatherings, races and supporting charity events.

So Cal WaterCraft Club Support:

The club support is fielded by David 'pirate' Tew, Brian Largarticha, and USMC Veteran Russell Libby whom will be providing assistance throughout the ride. All three were honored in October at the 2011 K38 International PWC Rescue Awards for the support through the years and unselfish dedication to helping others at their own expense and time. They have truly set the example of community participation and we are honored to have all four representing the ride.

AWA CHARTERED PERSONAL WATERCRAFT CLUB IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIAThe SoCal Watercraft Club is a family oriented club with the primary purpose of bringing together people with an interest in personal watercraft. Our goal is to organize fun and interesting rides and events while promoting safety and the interests of the AWA and the PWC community in general. We try to maintain a relaxed and fun atmosphere in the club with an opportunity for everyone to participate. We have members in Southern California from Santa Barbara to San Diego, including the Inland Empire. We do STRONGLY encourage joining the AWA as they sanction our club and work very hard on our behalf. Besides, it's not expensive. Want to ride with us? www.SocalWaterCraftClub.com

These Patriots will cover 135 miles through cold, rough Pacific Ocean conditions. Our hope is to provide a vehicle and means by which they can realize that their capabilities are not limited.

The Purple Heart Patriots' Challenge is PPF's first-phase program utilizing riding Kawasaki JET SKIŽ watercraft to assist in rehabilitation, create a competitive mindset, and return to being comfortable in a new body transformed through combat injuries. Various military brethren will be riding alongside these Patriots—heroes united.
