Installing new trim button on 2008 RXP-X

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering on what is the best way to do this.
the new button does not come with the plug attached, just the bare wires.
Would it be ok if i just soldered them and shrink wrapped them a few cm from the trim button or should I get someone to re-connect it into the plug?
I am worried about corrosion with the soldering option, is there any corrosion resistany way of doing this? Any help would be appreciated.

    My fav for this stuff..

It has solder inside it, as you put the heat gun to it, it melts solder and also shrinks the plastic up to seal it water proof..
