    SLX1200 Triple Pipe

Hey guys, just thought Id resurrect the thread from back in the day on "the other" site. To give you all a refresher course on whats being done, here is a list of mods I have and what the engine will consist of.

2 summers ago, as most of you know, I had an SBT engine fail at 37 hours of use. Since then I had Randy over at Watcon.com rebuild my engine with a new crank, pistons .25mm over, resleeved cylinders(so I can go bigger bore in the future) exhaust ports were opened by him and the sleeves were matched to the ports by me, and the transfer ports were polished. Randy took oem domes and resquished them for 92 octane, paired with a 92 octane cdi from factory pipe.

Some other bolt ons include: R&D small wing intake grate, Beachhouse sponsons, Tau Ceti flame arrestors, 44SBN Mikuni carbs, Factory Pipe Triples , Hot Seat one piece headcover with Sirhc's cooling mod, VForce 2 Delta reeds, Hot Seat Manifolds, High Flow pipe collector.

So here comes question number one for the first post lol. In my included pic should the long blue silicone coupler from the S pipe slide all the way until the weld mark on the pipe that angles up and into the collector?

A couple of inches is more than enough.

The silicone hose only needs to slide on far enough for a clamp.

nice ski...good luck with the project. I can't believe you only got 37 hours out of the SBT motor...I understand they suck donkey grundle but that's insane...

just out of curiosity...what (if anything) did they do for you over this problem? I'm guessing nothing?
