Got one and it does work well. It will not fit throught the plug hole but does get in enough to see around there. Wish it had a capture mode but for 69 you really cant beat it. It comes in handy for finding things when you drop them under the motor.

I assumed it would fit in the plug hole

Comments about Cen-Tech Digital Inspection Camera:

I am an auto mechanic and always hated using the common boroscope. This tool is great for looking into small spaces or under intakes. I really like the recessed camera lens tucked between the adjustable led lamps. The only draw back is that the lens head is tool large to get inside a spark plug hole and the imager cable is a little tight, but it does hold its shape. The video picture is great. Really enjoy the adjustable illumination feature. Highly recommend this tool.

some of the others hated it but thats the internet.

Does it do good enough to read piston wash accurately?

In my opinion yes it does. Just make sure that the piston is at the bottom of the stroke you get a clearer view. It is not the best out there but for for 69 it is well worth that.

My motor is running soo rich just trying to break it in that you really cant tell what is happening right now. Only about 1.5 hours on the motor. You can see the tops of the piston very good. In fact that is why i bought it to do just that.

For what it's worth, I use this... http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece...ght-95414.html

The smaller of the two drops into the spark plug hole and lets you really get a good look as long as you are at BDC or close. It works great for checking wash or piston condition. For the $8 you can't beat it.

If it doesn't work for the motor,You can alway use it for some drug raid in your neighborhood or some hostage situation.
