Oil pump block off question/idea
I have been running a couple of old wr500s for a while and it was time to move up. I recently purchased a cherry 97 gp1200 with 60 hrs. I intend to do the oil pump block off kit and fuel primer. Knowing that air in the fuel line will destroy your engine and hearing the options, I had an idea...why not transform my oil tank into a fuel primer tank and then have no worries with the on/reserve/return w/restrictor choices...sanity check?

People have definitely converted their oil tank into gas tanks. I'm not sure on the safety aspects of the conversion and I'm sure the Coast Guard might not like it but it can be done. You do have make sure its properly vented.
