Mods for RXTX 2008 or 2011

Hi, I am debating trading in my 2008 RXTX and purchasing a 2011/12. WHich ski is better to modify and why.

As well, what are the steps packages you would suggest I dont want to loose bottom end and want to maintain reliability. With everyone shooting for 80mph I would be happy at 75-77mph

    thanks

I think modding the 2011 t-x would be a better choice.

Check post #379 HERE and you'll find everything you need....but if you have a 2011 t-x then you dont need a 83mm nozzle cuz you already have it stock, unlike the 2010's lol.

Id go 2011, they have been proven to be a fast hull.

Id say you could get 75mph with a ecu flash and new prop.

More then likely going to be cheaper getting a 2011 to those speeds.
There are tons of threads on moding both skis and the pros and cons.
Just use the advance search and you will find more info then you can handle.

    Welcome to the forum!

As much as I love my 08, I would have to agree with everyone else. Getting a 2011-12 to 75-77 is easier than a 08.

    And welcome to Greenhulk

I am not arguing this point, but you have to keep in mind that he will have much larger payments/have to pay significantly more to have a 2011 vs. his already owned 08 (regardless of if it is paid off or not).

So in this case, it'd probably be cheaper to keep the 08 and get it to 75 mph.

    Thanks everyone

will i still maintain pump gas?

as well as bullet proof reliability, I dont want to do internal engine mods as this is a family machine

as well is there a UMI steering system available for the 2011 RXTX

Sure you will.......and thats what everyone here said! Get the 2011.....but wait for the end of year sale thats coming up (or is it already here?) The S3 hulls are simply better than the old style hull and will go faster for less $$$.
