How do you extract a prop shaft thats stuck in the pto splines????

i picked up a smacked up 2000 virage cheep with 47 hours on it!

the trailer broke (axle) and the ski flew off and took a beating.

ive got another tidy hull lined up...

the current problem i have it the prop-shaft is siezed in the PTO splines.

im scrapping the hull, so at the mo im getting the hull ready to cut the top half from the bottom (so i can remove the fuel tank and lift the engine out and forwards with the shaft on)

gota cut up hull to scrap it anyhow.

anybody got any tips for extracting the prop-shaft?

ive tryed a few things. i wud like to use a slide hammer, but got no way of attaching it. also cant get into the PTO with a heat gun as two much in way and bit risky.

    cheers

Use rope trick in PTO cylinder. The coupler is right hand thread, looking from back of ski counter-clockwise will loosen it.

Use a pipe wrench on the flat spots of the coupler. A large adjustable wrench would work too.

Heat it up a little too. Burns off the lock tite. Just don't burn off the rubber and you're probably going to need a pipe on that wrench for leverage. those suckers are on there
