Question for SeanCucf and other 4wd enthusiusts

I'm looking for a transfer case for my Jeep and want to see if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations. Found a place on the web called Monster Transmissions that beats everyones prices. Couldn't find anything bad on them (couldn't find much good either).

it depends on what type of wheeling you do....
lots of people like the Atlas II TC, and some just add a Tera 4low kit to the stock case. I still run the stock one cause it's perfectly fine for my needs and most other needs. The atlas is a hardcore upgrade to the TC. Mostly guys out west rock crawling go that far.

I go through www.northridge4x4.com for most of my stuff. good prices and EXCELLENT!!!!! service.

to be honest I haven't done anything in a while with the Jeep. Living in tampa, fl and 4wheelin don't mix real well, unless you like muddin, but I perfer trails and rocks. for as much as I go wheeling now it's really throwing away money for me. tellico is a long haul for me, and got longer once I got married

check out these forums and search a lot, cause that subject is a popular one.

edit: never heard of that place you mentioned....but then again I wouldn't have since I havn't touched the tranny/tc other than to change fluid.

the tcase you choose depends on your drop, strength requirements, gearing req., length req. and as always, budget. give us some more info!

Yeah, I'm just looking for a stock replacement. Got one coming, should be here tomorrow. Just cracked the old one open and it looks like someting failed that holds the chain on the main sprocket. Lots of metal shavings and a couple of metal pieces in the bottom of the case. Wish now that I would have just bought the rebuild kit and the chain, but didn't know what all had failed when I ordered the part. I'll put some pics of the carnage up later.
