replacing damaged virage hull with a virage TX. but hulls engine mounts are different

im changine my virage hull, and ive found a tidy tx hull which i could swop my parts onto, my only concern is that the tx hull has the inserts/mounts for the front engine mount further foward that the virage 700.

the tx hull has the position/mouldings for the 700 engine/mounts, but they havnt been drilled and do not have inserts fitted.

can anyone think of a way round this? how hard is it to drill and fit inserts? where would i get them from?

i want to use the virage for wavejumping so need the engine to be mounted well!

    cheers

do a general search for "Threadserts" those are the threaded inserts you are looking for. They are easy to install (just don't drill through your hull!) here's one link but there is a ton of places ot get them. http://www.nutty.com/threatsert.shtml

I dont know if you still can but you could buy inserts like these from polaris. I bought a couple many years ago to fix my stripped out one at my intake grate.
i had a big hole to fix. I found the center and used jbweld to fill the gaps around it and then glassed over it to smooth it out.

Not sure, the previous owner did the work. I think he actually had someone make them....but also said they were available from McMaster
