    Ultra 300X Exhaust Filter w/pics

Given this is a hot topic I thought we could keep track of the condition of the exhaust filter and help others predict when it may need changing (based on a good maintenance schedule http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=167387)

Here is mine at 25 hours. It took only a couple of hours to check (probably less than an hour next time). It looked ok. I noticed that two tiny "filter blades" were bent but I think that is ok)

I checked the filter because I had my first hard start (it normally starts instantly). The ski was probably anchored for an hour and a half.

Post the pics up, good or bad, and how many hours it's done, it will be helpful for others.

    Cheers, Mal.

PS: The yellow colour and what looks like bent fins is the camera flash only.

Why do you say you'll change yours at 20-25 hours??? According to the manual you only need to change it if it's damaged. The service manual describes the situation if you need to change it. Basically two things, build up causing a restriction or damaged "fins/blades" that is enough to cause a blockage.

the spot welds holding it to its surround mal so you are another aussie girl rider lmao, funny how 3 guys from down under have posted theres and they are as new whilst the others that have been posted from os are totally rooted, i think its more proof that rider maintenance plays a huge part and some guys dont really care at all.

I use Shell V-Power 98 RON, I'm not sure what the fuel additives do and if they play any part in looking after it??

Now.... the yellow key is the full power one for Aussies isn't it?
