    gp1200r conversion ski need help

Ok so been doing a bit of reading and pretty keen to start a project on converting the engine in my gp1200 to a fourstroke engine. What would be the best engine to install and what is required ? Also where is the best place to buy engine and all the parts needed for conversion ?

There is a sticky in the conversion performance section that will tell you all you need to know.

    I see your in oz,

Good luck finding a motor out of a yamaha, seadoo motor shouldn't be a problem.

Best off buying a FX SHO and swap it all over into the GPR.

HAHA Funny, I would like to build a GP RXP next , but so far this GPR SHO build has been a piece of cake. Everything just bolts up.

seriously , its best to buy a second hand fx sho if you want to go down that path. Its not just a motor , its sensors , wiring , mid shaft , ecu , changing system , pump , TPS..... list goes on.

Lol Rich... Is he building an a sho motor or rxp? I don't think he has said

Ryan, work our if you want to use an rxp engine or yamah engine (I say use Rxp, everything falls In & so much room to work around. & Richie says use Yamaha.. Lol)

Once you've decided, buy a complete running ski, either here or the states, strip it down & put everything in the GPR, what ever you build you'll have a lot of fun, but don't buy just an engine & bits, as that will cost you three times as much.

    Where in Aus are you?
