    My new 1390.....please tell me what to do to beat 4 stroke stockers

    So my 1200 seized, and tore up not only the cylinders but crankcase...bent one of the piston rods, long story (probably posted it already..) Anyway, I decided to make this great hull into a killer 1390. We bought a great engine from Lowell: gas PVs, ported to 93 octane, new reed cages, etc....My Dad "the mad scientist" has already located a 2" pump extension, and he and I will craft the pump reinforcement mod and his own pressure relief mod that he developed....Lowell told my dad this engine came off a ski that did 85 mph..I don't want that much. Or do I?? no, really, I want a ski to destroy the new 4 strokes and kill the Baja boats on my lake. My lake is not a big place for modded skis...I have a teenager on his Dad's Sea-Doo RTX 260 that could barely beat me in the rough when my ski was still 1200 engine stock.....

    I want to know...what is a good prop for burying these guys (Doos, new Yamaha 4 strokes) off the line? This ski will be a bitch..I don't want 85 mph b/c I don't need it. I will have the 2" extension and pump reinforcement....Dad is going to tune it to be a beast out of the hole, but not so much to destroy it with ragged edge compression, etc... any help would be nice!

    if you go with a HO pump...get a Leo 2* Wedge...keeps you planted and hooked up quicker out of the hole.. certainly did for me...

    Thinking about the HO pump...that's what Dad has on his 1390 and it kills off the line.

    haha your still trying to beat your dad after all this time.

    you do need an HP pump as woodman has pointed out, with a 2" spacer of coruse.

    as for what prop, this cant be answered until we know your rpms.

    all the speed is in the hull setup now and how you prop it, you got the power now you just need to unlock it, get it planted where it belongs ( into the water) and tune the hull the suit.

    we need more info though on whats in the hull of yours, what cards, reeds, what cdi etc..
