R&D surge and blow off filter?

When using these 2 filters what do you do with the 2 hoses that run back to the air filter box?
Is it best to plug the holes in the air box or put a filter on the end of each hose and route it to cooler air location?
When using this kit are there any negative things to look for once installed like oil blowing from the filters?

I would just take the hoses out completely and cap off the air box fittings.

Oil from the filters has been an issue for some and that problem originates at the catch can.

Except oil in the hull and fyi the oil comes via the catch can hose not the bypass hose. Or blow of valve hose.

You telling me re-routing the HOT air from the relief valve (which is almost always open), and the BOV has no improvement? And by no gains, do you mean on a track, a WOT endurance race, offshore, or the local lake on a leisure cruise with the kiddos?

The air is not hot. It's the air coming from the BOV and relief valve that has been run through the intercooler. Pull your seat off while you are riding and see how hot that air is.
It's the same air that is going in the intake.

Then i see No reason to waste money on the filters!! Im convinced getting cooler air into the hull itself is about all that helps in this application,I think Skip and alot of you guys on here have proven this on 250x/260x and now the 300x.I think im just going to do the SCOM and maybe a R&D ride plate and a good clean up in the pump area and be happy with it.I may try repitching the stock prop a degree or two once the scom is installed just to see how it effects acceleration/hookup/top speed but the jury is stilll out on this.
