    Intercoastal Water / Brackish Water in Florida

    Good morning.New to the sport & LOVING IT!!Not an awful lof of freshwater lakes here in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale but miles & miles of intercoastal waterways. 1)Is intercoastal water brackish water and...2) Is brackish water just as harsh as salt water or somewhat less?(Looks like I'll be an intercoastal rider)Thanks ya'll

    the intercoastal waterway is going to have a high salt content, very brackish to saythe least, IMO

    Yes. If you flush properly and such it won't be an issue.

    I ride mostly in Miami and launch out of Haulover. Make sure to flush with saltaway and use use something like CRC 6-56 to coat your engine bay and pump components to prevent corrosion/rust.

    Combined 450 hours on my skis...All in salt. Just wash it well and there's nothing at all to worry about.

    Thx Engineer. Do you flush soley with water or do you use aftermarket products like "Salt Away?"

    I used to use Salt Away but I don't anymore...I don't think it's entirely needed. Definitely pricey stuff.

    Use turtle wax car wash, it binds with the salt and it just disapears.
