    pro's and con's of thru hull exhaust?

    I'd like to do the thru hull exhaust, but i am not too sure about jumping waves and having water back up into the engine

    i live in cayman where its always rough riding and i know quite a bit of ppl with rxp/t's that run a thru hull and havn't had a problem...i suggest the riva alumin becasue since it is mendrel bent it is even safer..btw LOVE YOUR SKI...i really would like the side fairings for mine

    thanks , I ordered and installed the fairings myself, not hard to do at all. they are from the gtx but fit the rxt. i plan to mount speakers under the fairings

    You don't have to worry about water backing up into the engine. There is a hump in the exhaust pipe that prevents this. Also, do you realize the thru hull exhaust opening is even higher than that of the stock opening?

    no I didnt realize that, thanks, I did the cosmetic work on my ski, but never messed with the engine or any of that stuff, this is my first ski.

    fairing install

    whats involved in the fairing install?? and how much did it cost u?

    they cost about 220.00, the scary part is drilling holes into the ski, especially one of the holes is close to the fuel cap. its about 5 or 6 holes to drill on each side. fairings come with the push in plastic screw caps to secure it. The one thing you need to do is use some sealant on the caps before pushing them in. I didnt do this and I noticed more water coming out of the drain plugs after use than I would get before.

    just line up the fairings and mark the holes, drill and install... I painted mine before installing.

    and ty for the comment hulk, The ski matches my hummer nicely now
