RXT X 2008 not full power

    Hey Guys

after 7 months of not riding my jetski summer is finally around again, and took it out for a spin on the weekend, i had the battery unplugged and the ski was in the garage the whole time.

It had no problems starting, in fact first time. taking it out on the water though it felt a bit sluggish, and it wouldnt go to full rpms, anybody know what this issue could be?

there was a tiny bit of fuel left, but almost nothing before i had it sitting for 7 months

How many RPMs are you missing?

If its just a matter of a few hundred, it could just be due to different weather conditions.

Changing the plugs is always a good place to start also.

yes i thought it could possibly be the plugs, it gradually got better the more i used it, but still could notice a little loss of power at times. If it carries on i will try change plugs although i doubt it could be those with only 18 hours on the jetski

More then likely the plugs, but also could be bad gas if it wasn't stabilized when it sat even if it was only a little fuel. I would check by swapping a set of plugs in it and see if that helps. You really should swap
Them every season especially if your engine was fogged.

How many hours on the charger? What RPM are you turning?

7 months sitting - may be the gas if it is left over and not stabilized. Replace the gas and try again. If you get the same issues it may be worth your while to change out all the spark plugs.

    Hope that helps.
