Different reduction nozzle taper angles... Any difference?

Does the internal angle of the reduction make any difference in the performance of the nozzle?
If you compare a waveventure 701 nozzle to a GP760 nozzle. The Venture nozzle drops the size very fast while the GP760 nozzle goes almost to the exit before it is done reducing.
I would think there would be less friction losses with the tamer reduction angle. I would also assume maybe better response with the more aggressive angle.
Anyone with experience with this type of tuning? Or is it something left un-researched? I did a pretty extensive search for info and found nothing at all on this subject.

Not sure on performance differences, but the venture nozzle looks like it would allow for more steering nozzle angle since the nozzle isn't in the way as much

Yes thats for certain. The venture design is the older design. Why would they change it like that. I am thinking friction losses in the more aggressive bottleneck.

what are the 2 different nozzle ID measurements at the rear?

I stole that pic from goggle images and identified the nozzles. Lets say they are both 85mm. What do you have for me WFO?

Im just thinking you are going to find the difference is the size of the exit

    also do both have viens?

My question is does the taper angle play any role in tuning?

    I have to agree.

Seems to be an unresearched (as far as greenhulk member go) area of the pump. Maybe some other members will take a moment to share their knowledge.
