Who has the fastest 1390??
During our rebuild of my GPR...I got to wondering (winter cabin fever I guess), who has the fastest 1390R on here? Not trying to outdo anyone, just curious...and no conversion skis (GPRXPs and the like), straight up 1390 2 strokes....I've seen some pretty fast skis on here and youtube (GPS verified)...so who has the goods?
Myself? I just want to beat the guys on my lake with their $14,000 stock 4 strokes...and my Dad (as many of you know)
I hope to get near 80mph with the right setup...I know there are a lot on here that are faster.....but who is the FASTEST?

Quite a few singles over 80. Ross was at 85 I think. I believe Ronn was at 84 with his single.

This should do 81-83 when completed.

Ron Allison and his friend Mike were running 86s a long while back. And of course Mike's was at Mudbug in the summer with an actual GPS and video. WFO, Tommy Jordan and myself were running 84s with 1300s back then as well. All single pipes and several years ago.

Some of us don't know how to read as well as we can write while driving in our trucks! Lol. I just saw fastest in the 2-smoke open discussion.... Oops

80mph + on a 1390 single pipe should be easy if the hull is setup right. But there are many variables. It gets hard past about 82mph on a single, have to pull out every trick and a lot of setup tuning.
My old 1390 triple pipe ran 89mph+ with trim tabs back in 2007, but thats with triples.

Going to work on Ron's bigbore stroker this summer and will be the last 2 stroke I work on. Its a great setup and think there are a few records to still be broken in the old 2 stroke class. Maybe have it ready for the next Hydrodrags.
