How do you lock up your ski?

I would like to know how people are securing their ski's to the trailer. Its a concern of my to walk outside and see the trailer there and the ski gone. I thought maybe a cable lock through the intake grate. Any ideas??

I have a cable running through one of the rear tie downs. Just a thought on theft, worry more about the trailer because nobody would steal a ski without a trailer. First you would have to have 6-8 guys to lift a RXT (I have a RXT) or a sling and cherry picker (kinda hard to haul a cherry picker and ski at the same time), but then the theives would have to get a trailer to haul the stolen ski. Who would buy a ski without a trailer, except for me. I hauled my ski in the back of my truck when I bought it, lets just say you get funny looks from other drivers.

I am sure someone here knows someone who had ski stolen off the trailer, but remember I am talking about a RXT which weight 800+ lbs.

I have lost to many things over the years to think of reason's they couldn't steal it. I now think of every way they could steal it. I have the trailer clamped and the tow hitch locked. The prob is if they want something they just take, locks and alarms only protect you from the honest. Anybody else?

Here are 2 other products to look at. I am looking at mounting something like this in my Skiis.

That is how I have my ran, but with a 1/2" S.S cable. If someone wants my ski, they will have to trade me for some DNA. Cutting cable with a hacksaw or small bolt cutter is very messy.

    Hey Ilike that AMSOIL.

I think I will have to go with something like the locks to the tie down hoops.

cbrich, I hope you never get that DNA, and your ski stays your ski. If mine went it would break my heart.

If someone stole my ski I would find them and kick them right in the balls and use their head as basketball, I would flip out if somone stole it.

We use a really long kryptonite cable. It goes through the trailer tire, around the trailer frame, and through the rear tiedowns on each ski.
