gp1200r water dumping straight into cylinder

ok so i put my motor back together, checked compressions 147,149,135 and fired her up. Ran all good til i hooked the water up and the motor compression locked. Took the plugs out and blew shitloads of water out the 3rd cylinder mainly. So what do we think this could be head gasket not sealing properly, base gasket not sealed properly etc ? so i took the cooling lines off the top of the heads and fired the engine up again, turned the water on and watched cooling lines to see if there might be a blockage, water was pissing through the front 2 cylinders but the third one not so much just slowly ran out till it compression locked again im starting to think that its the base gaket not sealed properly on the third cylinder i dont think that its the exaust gasket letting water leak into the crankcase while the piston is at tdc it makes me look more toward the base gasket but need more references

sounds like the base gasket is on backward, you can check without pulling the jug. All the tabs should be in the same corner of each jug
