Talking nozzle ring - what size

    hey guys

trying to do abit of tuning to get the most out of my mates ski..

    current setup is

    rxpx 2011
    les cooke b kit
    les cooke reatainers
    les cooke reflash 8650
    4 inch air
    14/18 skat 3 blade

    currently im hitting 8500 revs

i d prefer holeshot over top end as we do alot of bay riding, if i changed nozzle rings, would that help increase holeshot??

what size would be best ?

out of interest , what size nozzle does rxpx standard ? 84mm , is that different to rxp ?? what size rxp

    thanks again

Standard size for the 215 skis have 83mm (RXP/RXT). The 255 skis have 87mm (RXT-X/RXP-X)

That WAS true in the past! The 2010 RTX-X 260 came stock with a 87mm venturi and the 2011's came stock with a 83mm.......so I bet it is 83mm.

Only way to be sure is put some calipers on it!

2011 rxpx still has 87mm on it... I have one and had to swap it out for a 83.

On my 08 T-X which is same shoe and tunnel as your rxpx I saw best holeshot with larger dia. ring.
I found when i went below 84 ring i lost some holeshot.
I tried all sizes from a 81 mm to a 85 mm on my T-X.

    Are you sure?
I think all P-X (2008-2011) came with the 86.6 mm. All of these skis have the same hull and tunnel.
All the RXP came and come with 83.3 mm.

Steven, my comment is correcting half of what adambomb said reference the RXT-X. I'm 100% sure 2010 RXT-X 260 stock = 87mm, 2011 RXT-X went back to the 83mm. I don't have the facts on the P-X!

That's why I suggested calipers to be correct.

    2011 comes with a 87mm nozzle.
Probably your best bet for a combination of holeshot and top speed is the 87mm.
