    motor alignment

    what is me max number of shim that can be used to align motor? i had thought maby four. why would it be off this much? could the shoe be crooked? motor mounts sagging? how many shims are under your mounts?

    Could be that your mounts are giving out. That's probably the reason why your shaft broke.

    You can put as many as you need to get the job done but ideally I would try to use as little as possible. The hulls are made of fiberglass, they are not precision so there will be variances........

    its not on my ski i have one mount under each foot its perfect, mine was off about 1/8 to the 2 o'clock position.

    I've seen 6 under the right rear and 4 on the left of one ski and thats how it came from the factory

    Actually Bryce's alignment was not off hardly at all.


    My ski is one that is off.
    Its aligned straight, but is like motor is sitting too low.
    It looks like needs 1 shim in the rear to get aligned. Maybe even 1 in the front.
    I am thinking the rear mounts have lost tension. They are 7 years old??
    Is this possible?
