    2008 RXT X not starting

    Hey guys

Tried to start my RXT today but nothing is happening, the writing on the screens come on for a split second then go off again, and it usually does that noise thing in the engine when i put the key on, this time nothing, its not the battery cause i tried to charge it

any ideas? could it be spark plugs?

what noise thing? what happened when you tried to charge the battery? does the battery have at least 12 volts? put a volt meter on the battery and watch the reading when you try to start the ski.get back with the answers.

Battery may be shot and not taking the charge.

by noise thing i think he means the D.E.S.S. key connecting to dess post...

are you sure the key is in correctly? it might be loose and getting a connection and disconnecting... thus making the screen flash for that split second...

might aswell be faulty dess post and key...

Yes tried both learner key and normal key and was doing the same thing. today i put the key in and started it, worked fine, then i took the key out... and i could still start the ski without the key in, and all the writing and info stayed on screen, without the key in.. very odd

This is the second time I hear of that. In fact, a guy posted a video on Youtube to demonstrate a similar issue. You may have a problem with the electronics... best to take it to your dealer for a check-up.
