    Supercharger Opinions wanted

Hey guys. Just picked up a 2005 RXT. Had a new GTI in 2006 and sold it to get an ultra 250 in 2008. (Formerly Red08ultra250 on forum). Well that is sitting on side of house with blown motor so I am back on the Sea Doo side again.

The RXT has 80 hours on it and is all stock, including ceramic washers. I dont want to do any crazy mods to it, as I want a reliable ski, but maybe a bit quicker than stock. So since I have to change to metal washers, and rebuild the charger while at it, what is my best way to go with it?
    1. Rebuild stock charger and drop in a wheel? Which one?
    2. Get a new X Charger?
    3. Other suggestions?

I dont want to change injectors, impellers, etc. Maybe impeller if needed but thats it.
I have read all the write ups on the stickys.

    Glad your back.
Put a x charger with 42 injectors and new prop.
You can't add boost without more fuel and you can't add power without more prop.

Keep a lookout for a set of 42's and a good prop and go with the X charger.

what kind of top speed should I get with that setup. Which Prop?
Its running at 7950 to 8000 rpm now. Is that about right for this ski.

8000 rpm is perfect. If the ski is completly stock you might want to look at getting an intake grate and a good 4 inch air intake to feed the x charger. Im not so sure what prop pitch to start with but with a x charger and no external ic and basic mods...maybe a 13/19? That might be too tall. Stick around and wait for the rxt guys to chime in.

Definitely the X Charger. Drop in wheel is a waste of time on that charger as its finished at 80 hrs, by the time you buy a rebuild kit and the drop in wheel you will be at the cost of an X Charger.

Get the X Charger, 42's, 14/17 R Prop, R and D Grate and a Fizzle 4" Air Intake. If you hunt around you will get all that for less than $1500. Bargain for what it will do to the ski.....

Sounds good. I think that will be the plan. Thanks for your help guys! This is exactly what I was looking for. Guesses on top speed with this setup?

I also have an rxt but 06, and was wondering if you just do the X-charger and 42lbs injectors will the stock ecu have any issues running it or do you need something else.

You should be fine as long as you don't run external intercooler.
If you run external ic you need a fuel reg and adjust accordingly monitoring afr.
With either setup you will need more pitch in prop to not run on limiter which will result in lean condition.

Note: with any setup you need to be aware that when running in cool conditions you will be leaner.
