    rxp RE block off questions

    today i dry fitted my re's. they fit like **** and are finished even worse .

    i guess they are supposed to line up with the bottom of the hull (slant off the ride plate)?? ill take pics tommorow to explain it better.

    the finish is terrible. there are blemishes everywhere. there a multpile spots were there are holes in the powdercoat and i can see all the way down to the metal. i had to cut .25" build up of powdercoat off of one spot. one corner had NO powdercoat on it (like somebody was going to lunch and decided to half ass it). for a $320 part this is absolutely unacceptable!! i am going to have them stipped and re-powdercoated. i am NOT happy with these. i hope they work better than they look (and fit for that matter).

    will take pics tommorow

    Well I have to say my set fit very well and I was very pleased with them. The powder coat had little flaws, but not as bad as you say.
    Sounds like they slipped a little on this batch.

    Here is a pic.

    do u have a pic of the bottom(that first slant coming off of the vertical were it mounts to the hull with the hardware), mayb from the back and from the side.

    I have never seen a set as bad as you describe. Im sure Race Engineering would have no problem swapping them out.

    Is the slant you are talking about the hook in the hull? If so, no they do not follow the hook in the hull. They go straight across.

    @mxl16,

    befor shipping we check all sets, i have no idea how you got that "bad set", but we ship alot of sets worldwide so a mistake can allways happen.

    if the powdercoating on your set is as you describe, just send the BlockOffs back to Jerry, and you will get a new set of RXP BlockOffs.

    but the RE RXP BlockOffs will never line up with the bottom off the hull at the end , because the hull has a hook.
