salt on engine gti 130 a chronic problem

    hello fellows,
I`m Brazilian and I have a sea doo GTI 130 (just 10 hours used) and I am uncomfortable with the salt on the engine after every ride. Interesting that I find the salt only on the back side of engine. I know this leak provides from the seat and it happens with every sea doo. How can I resolve this? There are some recommendation from bombardier? Some recall for this problem was maid? I curious about some advanced machine like this, made by bombardier, can have this kind of problem!
Its a chronic problem i know a lot skis gti whit the same problem!
    I appreciated your attention...
    best regards
    Fabiano

Welcome to the forum mate. I found that when I installed me Riva seat cover, I no longer got my engine covered in salty residue. I think the stock seat cover allows water to soak through the stitching and then spray it all over the engine bay.

The other problem is most seats have holes in the bases and the water that goes into the seat drips onto the engine everytime your butt bounces on the seat...

If you spray the motor with a lubricant after each use, the salt will not stick as much.
Right now you need to take it with a special spray to take out the salt or use vinegar and a toothbrush, then after its totally clean, spray lubricant all over.....

Make sure you spray it down with Silcone spray lube after every ride
