    Serious Battery Question

I need a new battery for my 04 RXP.
Do I go with the new Riva sealed battery for the 4tecs or the Oddysey PC925L:

    RIVA $133
    Probably fits better
    Probably weighs less

    Oddyssey $115
    Bullet proof
    doesnt fit as well
    weighs 26 pounds

    Need some opinions on this.

If the Riva battery is a exact replacement dimensionally, try that one...
I have the Oddy 925LMJ, yes it`s heavy, and yes you have to add a spacer to the underside of the hold down clamp. I only went with Oddy bc I have used their product before and was only battery I could get easily...at the time...PR...

    replacement 4tec battery

What battery did you go with?

My battery seems to be droping from 12.8 volts to 12.3 volts after a recharge and sitting for 1 day on the bench. I suppose its time for a new battery.

Are Riva and Oddy's the only dry cell replacements available for our skis?

I don't think that's a problem, providing the cranking performance is OK

I'll give it another day to see if it drops any more.
But from what I've been reading I understand that a fully charged battery without any drain should maintain 12.75-12.65 with a 100% charge, 12.3 shows about 50% charge, 12.0 volts is basically dead.
