2011 seadoo rxt-260 speed override module

I have a 2011 Seadoo RXT-260 and wanted to put a speed override module on it. Does anyone have any suggestions if this is a good idea or not. I also have an intake installed but dont want to get into grates and impellers

With the speed control module you also need to install the 15/20R impeller with the 2011 model skis to see max benefit. Read the write up in the online store

Here's the impeller you will need

and here is the tool you need to change the impeller

A better option would be the Vtech Stage 1 programming for your ECU. It removes the speed limiter and increases the rev limiter. You can run the Vtech tune with your stock impeller

In the write up on the over ride module it states that the RXP-X 260 does NOT need to change its prop to see the +3 MPH increase putting it at 70 MPH with no additional mods. Would I be able to put the over ride module on an RXT-X 260 along with a stock RXP-X 260 prop and see the same result of +3 MPH over buying a 15/20 solas? Thanks for your help!!

Save your money and get the Reflash. I have both 2010 & 2011 rxtx's in my garage and both with reflashes. Trust me, you'll want it!

Since your from NJ and not to far from me, let me know if you ever need a hand etc

I'm still running the SCOM for now. Gonna do some major mods next season. You'll need the impeller to get some real speed out of it...I wouldn't spend $250 and be stuck @ 70.
If I were starting from scratch - I'd reflash at least to stage 1 and get an impeller. LISTEN TO JERRY!!!!!

Hey Scott, thanks for the offer, I might take you up on that. The reason I am trying to keep it close to stock is that I have the extended coverage and don't want to mess that up should I ever need it. You know how Sea-Doo feels about modding.

On a side note I think a few of my buddies have ridden with your crew before. I ride with Aaron and Monaco etc (Bar Bay Riders) out of Barnegat Light, LBI. Where do you guys launch? We should all meet up this spring/summer. I am planning on going a bit more south this summer and riding with the NJ/PA guys too.
