More pics of the 785 race ski project

I am in the final stages of completion, of my race ski project,
I have to choose between the hot seat or beach house sponsons?
    any feedback on which one?

And if I can't weld up my stock ride plate to look like the watcon one, I am going to try the Evolution Marine ride plate,

    Thanks for everyones help,

Looks great. What did you do to get that duck bill to fit.? The threads are different than the stock drain plug. the duck bills threads are bigger. I didn't get a base hole with my duck bill.

Iv'e have the BH sponsons on mine and I like them a lot. They keep you in a straight line in the rough. and boy do they turn hard. Hold on! I have felt my grip letting go a few times..lol Never tried the HS ones. I have them all the way down and back as far as possible. so I'm at the max with them.

    Coming along quite nice.

Has that hull been trued since you have it upside-down?

Kinda surprised the handlebars haven't been shimmed on that one either. CrazyA has a pic of the UMI bars with a spacer between the UMI and the cowling. It places the bars at a more upright postion. Better feel while you're standing up.

And are those fixed trim tabs, or lever operated?

The duck bill auto drain is a different type of set up than the stock screw hole, they do sell the duck drain with a thread that fits the black screw hole, see link below,

Repaired and trued the hull with white gell coat fiberglass, no bondo here,
I was thinking of taking my wrecked steering post and try and cut it down to make it more of a upright steering set up,
I could not get the water to flow out of the front pisser, checked the lines twice then pulled the hose and found a mud dobbers wasp nest plugging it up,
I ended up putting the small plastic insert back in the top of the hood so water wont blow down the stearing post hole,
