rxt hood disassemble
I am trying to disassemble my rxt hood so i can paint the fiberglass, but am stumped. I have taken all the visible bolts out of the white inner peice, so i can access the mirrors, trim etc, but the white peice still wont come out. not sure if it is pop riveted or what, but dont want to break it. any advice would be great!

its been awhile since i did mine.. you have to either slide the hood towards the handle bars or towards the nose of the ski as there are some locking tabs i think.. i broke one of them as i wasnt too sure either after removing the screws.. does require a bit of brute force..

Not sure exactly what piece your speaking about but once you have all the bolts and screws out of the inner shell the hood has to slide forward. It has tabs that hook in place by the shell sliding backwards. Be sure you removed the latch.

It's wedged in there. No need to remove the latch. Use a rubber mallet or as the manual says "piece of wood" and smack the 2 block looking things in the center of the lid. Smack them towards "up" the handle bar area and it will pop loose.
