    2012 Venturi Trivia!

its like a guessing game trying to remember what year/model/ venturi size/ # of veins... can anyone fill in the blanks? thanks!

    Im looking for a **84mm venturi nozzle / with 10 veins/ year?/ model?**

found a 84mm on the shelf but with a different amount of veins... even if it isnt hurting performance its hurting my OCD cause i know its there haha...

    thanks for any help/advice!

IIRC, the 4Tec skis have only come with 2 venturies from the factory, 83mm = the 215hp skis and 87mm for the 255-60hp skis, both with the same viens as the pump, 10 if im not mistaken.

If you want an 84mm then your going to need an adjustable ventury and the correct ring.

    Hope that helps, R88

OEM for the boats is or was 84mm. I've tested all sizes, and have found the best performance with an 87mm on my S150, with the power I'm producing.

thanks so any 215rxp or rxt should be 10 vein 83mm… very interesting… do you think that 83mm is too small with a ckit or rude3??? i would just bore it to an 84 if needed… i guess the only way to test is to put it on….

It depends on alot of factors, with the RXP hull most guys seem to see best speed with a 81mm nozzle. You will only know by trsting.

Yes typically a smaller ring will be better for top end and a larger better for hole shot. I found after lots of testing an 81mm was best for RXP setup at the time. Even now on my GPRXP I am running an 81mm.

As above, your thinking is correct. I have never personly run smaller then 83mm, but thats coz of the riding I like to do (bouy to bouy) and I ride mostly in the sea so the conditions are not ideal for best top speed.

I wouldnt go below a 83mm on the S3 hull.
