Like a freakin beast. If you can believe it, with that setup, it was faster, outta the hole and all the way up to 67(GPS, after fugging with 3 ride plates) than my buddy's stock 1998 785 Pro. Took a while to get-r right, but after the dry pipe, and getting that thing tuned with the 44's, Vforce 2's, and the pro CDI, venturi bored out, all the other goodies, etc, it was plain ol' nasty. Our neighbor down the shore, who runs an offshore 38 fountain with 2 x 454's, could not believe I was next to him up to almost 70mph from a stand still. He offered me $5K CASH in green for the bike, he fell in love after ONE ride. I sold it to him.

I wanna DOM 1200 to build, looking for a SLX 1200, or a Pro 1200, eyes are OPEN...
But, GREAT $$$ for the 780, and that was one unique bike, that surprised MANY in the back bay, many...
Fun build, pulled like a raped ape, Sea Doo XP muncher ALL day, LOL... Watta sleeper!!!!!!
And what a jumper man, very light and agile, scary air many times, it will be missed...

    Happy new year bro.

****Also, check it out, the custom seat cover on my Yami 2 stroke quad is in memory of my SLX, sa-weeeet!!!

Haha, wouldn't you like to know, the MILLION $ info.
Also, keep in mind this was running on a 110/Klotz 32:1 cocktail, AGGRESSIVELY Ported...
    PM sent.

Also, corrected, it was a shaky 64ish on the speedo and 62 max on GPS, not 67, my bad.
The 67 was coming from a buddies Kawi ZXI on spray...

    We will talk more...

62 MPH sounds about right. 67 would be unheard of.....

    Thanks.

Agree, I am used to doing 70's+ on our worked Sea Doo RXT-X 260, we have a 255 as well, Mom and Pops shore house toys, nice bikes, too big for my liking but faaaaast.
I like the lighter bikes, the run-abouts if you will.

Never really cared much about top speed on the SLX, what was most impressive was the mids, that thing pulled like a big block.
But, once I figured out I was breaking 60 it got interesting... Didnt know i Was topping out that fast, but it got there in a hurry!!

I am going to try to dig you up as much info as I can from the final tune #'s, jets, screw positions, etc.
The +4 timing was "his" idea, not sure exactly what went into that but sure it was written down somewhere that it was performed, during the final tune after port work was performed. The PITA was the race fule though, big $$$ and hard to come by on the water, always had to "have" it in plenty at the house...
