787 97XP water leak @ engine
Good afternoon all. Near the end of last season while flushing the engine, I noticed that I have a little water coming out beneath the air intake silencer. You would never see it if the air silencer was on the unit, so I don't know when it really started. The rate is really slow, we're talking about 3-5 drops a minute. It only seems to be from the water jacket to the outside, the engine runs normally if there is water to it, or not. Would this just be a bad job at sealing the top and bottom halves? Is it a problem, or should I just leave it alone? Is there supposed to be sealant there, or is it just a gasket?

base gaskets are a known problem on the 787s. Also, the bottom bund of the pipe is known to rot out and leak-- not if, but when.
