    Impeller Thread

Happy New Year to all at GH. I am replacing the inter shaft and driveshaft on the XL1200Ltd, but the impeller was a SOB to get off the old shaft, and the threads have got damaged. The threads nead re-cutting inside the impeller (luckily it's taken metal off the old shaft and deposited it in the impeller threads). and I need to order a tap. I've measured it, and am pretty sure it's a 22mm x 1.5 (metric fine) Left Hand Thread. Can anyone just confirm this before I order the tap, as I'm not 100% certain. Cheers all. Dave.

Thank's for that. I've sent him an email. I'll post his answer, just for the record in case anyone else needs to do the same job, when it comes back. I used anti-seize compound on the threads when I fitted it only 2 years ago, but it still welded itself on. On a positive note, I suppose it's better than it falling off miles from the shore!

Great. Thank's for that. I don't want to spend upwards of 50 for a tap that's the wrong one! I've seen cheaper on Ebay, but don't expect much when I see 'Made In China' on the ad!
