    Seadoo 1020 pump prop?

    Hey fellow ski junkies,

I have a 2000 model seadoo gtx millenium edition and i have fitted a 1020 big bore engine (951 bored out to 1020) so think i now have a possible 110+hp (fuck all compared to some) and on take off it cavitates at times. I think it maybe the wear ring worn out, is this what could be going on ? I also want to prop it up because of the extra hp if i can. At the moment it has a standard 15/20 impellar, what could i fit with out loosing to much. I am told a 16/21 but dont know much about props a, any help would be much appreciated

    Cheers Will

Skat impellers are good for taking care of cavitation-- 13/20 or 13/21 if you are making some HP. The solas 15/20 impellers are a hit or miss in the cavitation department.

Skat swirls are great for acceleration. It only cavitates at times? check for air leaks, maybe carbon ring on the drive shaft.

Yeh i was meaning that. I was talking to a fella at jetsport and he seams to think i could run a 16/21. Is there much of a difference between a 15/20 and a 16/21?

buying a concord 16/21 for your ski would be a mistake-- it is so steep that it may cause engine damage.

as an example, try running your car or truck in 4th gear at 20 mph and step on the gas, then shift to 2nd gear and do the same thing. It is better to slightly under pitch for the 951s than to over pitch.

I've owned MANY different modified 951s.

oh yep I understand ya. So will a 13/21 give me more out of the hole performance and and a little more top end then a 15/20 ? I just want to make the best decision before buying a new prop as they are not cheap.
