    250 ultra super charger

Whats the cost to rebuild a super charger and any special tools required?
I am looking at buying a broken ski thats been standing for a year not run and was operated in salt water.

be careful as you might find it needs more than a s/c, i have a ski here that the guy thought was only a seized charger turns out alot of salt damage throughout the motor and ski.

The SC Unit is only the half of it. If it has been standing for a year best you plan on a new Belt, SC Pulley, SC Tensioner . . . At this juncture I would change the oil in the SC too. Any corroded parts anywhere; replace those parts too. JB

I have a fogging point on my supercharger ducting and fogged back in Sept 2011,and went to turn the engine over a few days ago and the SC pulley wont turn! Wish i had just run the ski up every 2 weeks now, I'm in the process of removing my SC to try and see if it can be saved, and at worst I'm guessing damaged rota coating, but I haven't tryed to force it.
It's a shame you can't buy new rota's, then you could strip down and rebuild!
I have read on here diesel is good for soaking the rotas, but will that not attack the coating? Would warm soapy water be OK/better, then a good drying out?

That should have loosened things up (4 days in Diesel). I wondering if you now put it in the oven for a few hours on low temperature; the heat should let it expand some just enough to free it up. Obviously do not set the oven to "Broil"!!! Just a thought? JB
