jump starting my xp
my batteries are shot.my skis have been wrapped up since sept. we've been having some nice weather and i uncovered them to fire 'em up for a bit. but, both batteries are shot. i had them on a charger but there's no juice in 'em. i dont really want to drop the $ for new ones just yet, so is it safe to jump start from my vehicle? im thinking that i just leave the battery out and connect the jumper cable right to the battery cables on the ski.

no, not safe. Put a wtb ad on craigslist "looking for good 16cl battery" if you want to be cheap.

What's the point of starting the ski if you are not going to ride it. If the crank is your concern, poor a little oil down each cylinder (a little) and turn the pto by hand. Union employee who can't buy a battery! You should find another trade!

jesus christ, buy a fkn battery,
if you can't afford it, sell the ski, a battery costs approx the same as a weekend's worth of fuel/oil.
