    Riva Turbo Kit

Hey all, just a mind boggling question for anyone who cares,. Anybody considering the new Riva Turbo kit for the price?
I just added up the price for the "complete" kit with recommended upgrades and OMG its around $15K for parts alone.
    Thoughts?

I dropped my ski off with Riva at the end of last year and am on board for the full turbo/internals/pump modifications. Yeah, it's not going to be cheap. They are putting an amazing amount of R/D into the build on both the dyno and test skis to make this as reliable as it will be impressive. I'll add some posts when things get further along.

Please do share the product impressions and results and if you don't mind, maybe shed some light on just how much such undertakings cost.
    Cheers on your build.

15 grand to go 90mph. Sounds insane but that is just me. Think I'd rather have a low to mid 80mph boat that gets there in a hurry with an upgraded pump for about half that price.

    Talking

I can tell you the quote I have for a complete internal build including balancing the crankshaft, turbo kit and installation is right around the $15K mark. After that, we still have to talk about the pump set up. They are still working on fine-tuning the kit and I will post as soon as it is ready.

It certainly is insane but reason has absolutely nothing to do with it.

    Safe riding everyone

I don't understand it either in principle or purpose. At 90+, and even at that it would have to be glass water, I bet there is only about 4 inches of the hull (aft) that is actually touching the water. Like they say, "whatever floats your boat"!
