If you look at a new gasket right next to a used gasket you can physically see the Crush that happens. I haven't, simply because I can't affort to ruin my motor. Buying parts is expensive enough the first time!

I have a bunch of used condoms. Do you want them? Sorry, gaskets, unless specially designed to be reused like some valve cover gaskets, IMO should be like condoms. I don't reuse either.

I've reused a head gasket where it hadn't been heat cycled, we pulled the had off after a rebuild due to a compression problem..... Ended up being someone (no names being mentioned) left a rag in the intake manifold, as it hadn't been heat cycled we used Holimar & retensioned the head. 15 hours so far with no issues. Would never reuse one that's been heat cycled.

Also reused PTO gaskets where it hasn't broken taking it off, using holimar to reseal it without issue.only do this once or twice before replacing gasket though.

I only do this on my own ski, no one else's as its my problem if there is an issue & because I'm always pulling bits apart playing.
