    Piston 633ps arrow

    The piston has an arrow that should point toward the carbs and not the exaust right? 95 sl 750. the piston is a wsm The other pistons have an arrow that point to the mag. The ring gap should go towards the carbs.

    I can not remember where the arrow should point. But the piston should have a locating pin for the rings,so the rings will only fit in one position.
    Then the ring gap can not line up with any ports,especially not the large exhaust port.
    The ring gap will always ride on solid metal.

    Thanks the ring gap is close to the exaust port. So I thought the arrow went toward the carbs.

    arrows on piston ALWAYS points to front of engine or the exhaust.

    Ask bowsniper how that works out if its backwards.....

    This piston has been stamped with arrow opposite the gap pins. I read the gap pin go toward the intake.

    Yes I believe that is correct. The pin should line up between 2 intake ports.
