What everyones thoughts on putting a inline flter on the Reserve line also (since that that line is in the lowest section of the tank).

If you're speaking of your 1994 SL 650, all your fuel goes through the same filter already, so what do you mean?

The 1994 SL 650 has a reserve setting and the water seperator without a filter, so they came with an in-line filter installed on each fuel hose going to the fuel selector switch.

To answer your Q, yes, you should have a filter on the reserve hose.

BUT, the better set up is to get the water seperator with the filter in it. (newer style tha has an orange ring the floats when water is present) and use it instead of 2 indivudual in-lines. The newer style is cleanable/reusable, while your in-lines are disposable.

+1 - They can be had for around $20 and bolt right into the stock seperator location.... I put them in both of my skis and bought a third for my boat......

I stand corrected then. I thought that they started the dual filters in 1995 on the 650, with the 1994's looking like the microfiche. If that's the deal then Oh Yea you should have two filters!!!

    That could work too Crazy.

I just know on mine they used a filter for each hose going to the selector. (much better IMO) That way you don't get debris stuck inside the selector switch before it reaches the filter.

I hear ya buddy, and I agree. I'm just trying to figure out if any of them ever came like the picture I posted, or is it just another misprint on the manual side. Not too uncommon.
