    Steering nozzle question

Does anyone know if the steering nozzle from a GPR or XLT will fit on my 98 GP1200.

    Thanks

Will fit straight on my 99 gp1200 non pv... ? If so, that's great!!

The guy said to me they don't make them for 99 gp1200's any more.. Is the one for the gpr physically any diferant to the gp one?

Is it true that the SHO nozzle is a compatible upgrade for the plastic GP1200 steering nozzle?

Yes, it's what I run. It is the same size, but slightly ovated. It can be bored to round if you want..

going perfectly round will change its thrust... hole shot with the round will be fantastic but top end speed will suffer slightly (ideally you'll have an impeller suited to what your looking for to match this).. So yes, the SHO aluminum will fit both the smaller 144mm gp760 pump and the 155mm gp1200s as well.. mounts right to the trim gimble so youll keep trim also..

    Thanks wreckingball and w/rpm500

Would there me any reason to swap to the SHO nozzle if I am sticking with stock style impeller and no motor modifications?

The only reason I swapped was to get rid of the plastic. I'd hate to drive to ride and ruin a whole day for plastic failure...
