09 FZR with stinky petrol smell after taking seat off
So after riding my ski i take the seat off and whamo its pretty full on , aired it for an hour or so and checked it again today and its back
Anyone else getting this?

Do you run a stock fuel system?

Just check the hoses to the rail and back to the tank. one could just be lose. you will get a slight smell if all fitted , but if your saying a big smell , check your line connectors.

They are just simple connector plugs. black with green tips if that helps.

Mine smells like gas too when I take the seat off Hallis.

Happens on all mine too, especially when we get hot weather after being cool for for a few days. Pressure builds & gets vented into the hull. Mine are stored inside, so I usually leave the seats cracked open to help them ventilate better. Still a good idea to check what Richie recommended though.

Could it be a bad batch of fuel? Does this always happen Hallis regardless of where you get your fuel from??
