Advice on a top end rebuild

Hi, I was thinking of rebuilding the top end on my Seadoo GTX 2001 and I have a question. If you replace the cylinder sleeves with 88mm new ones and buy 88mm pistons do you need to do anything to prior to fitting them? Basically does any work need to be done to either the pistons or cylinders or will they simply fit and work fine? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

    Cheers.

No it's not a dumb question. Brand new sleeves are not "plug and play", they need to be pressed in then fitted to the pistons by honing.

then the top of the block needs to have a clean up cut done. Much easier to just bore and hone the original sleeves if they are not damaged beyond repair.
